“Museum Event In Cool East Harlem!”

 

Press Release: The National Museum of Catholic Art and History and Greater New York Chamber of Commerce will co-host a wine and cheese reception evening on Tuesday, May 27th, 2008 from 5:30pm to 8:00 pm. Chamber members, museum members and their guests are invited but must RSVP to be on the list. The Board of Trustees is also promoting a museum membership drive that evening and we talk about the exciting events planned this year.

Many New Yorker’s do not know about this beautiful museum uptown at 443 East 115th Street between 1st Ave and Pleasant Ave. Soon the neighborhood will embrace Home Depot, Costco and Best Buy, which are opening late this summer with parking for 1200 cars. This community is changing rapidly! All royalty, politicians, celebrities have come to Harlem such as Princess Diana, former President Bill Clinton and Mother Theresa it is a cool, spiritual and interesting place!

Mr. Edward Malloy President of Building Trades of Greater New York and Chairman of the museum will host the event along with the Board of Trustees and our museum artists with the Chambers Executives Helana Natt and President Mark Jaffe. Our special art curators and Ms. Sue Bellos, art teacher of St. Martin de Porres Marianist School and Brother Timothy Driscoll SM, Chaminade High school of Long Islands.

We museum is currently exhibiting “God, Man and Nature” byartist Frank Hyder, artist Henry Bermudez, “The Beginning”; Antonio Riog’s art collection of “Devotional Images”, Anthony Van Dyck’s, “Betrayal of Christ”; Muriel Castandis’, “Greek Angel”; artist Igor Zaytsev, “The Vision”; Liliya Popova, “Reflection”; artist Tito Gomez's, “Blue Madonna”; artist Alexis Duquis, “Guadalupe”; Fabio D”Aroma, “St Mathew and the Angel”; Virginia Maksymowicz, “Stations”; Sisterhood in America with Botero's “Nun Painting”; artist Paul Gatto’s “The Morsel”, artist Amir Wahib, “Last Supper”, Stanley Gordon, “Bishop Fulton Sheen”; “The Adoramus” By John Putnam Ludlum; artist Doran Mouradian,; “St Michael and St George”; artists Fred Villanueva, “Mexican Madonna”; Vanessa Hollifield’s, “Crowns and Crosses in Stain Glass”; The St Nicholas Gallery, the History Gallery and the "Painted Prayer Madonna’s" by students of 12 Long Island High Schools.
