Our mission at the National Museum of Catholic Art and History is to preserve, collect and interpret our Catholic heritage and traditions in America through the arts, music, lectures and film. The museums broader purpose is to foster awareness and appreciation of religious, sacred and spiritual art in all medias. Our museum collects historical artifacts, documents and photographs about our American Catholic culture, customs and Judeo-Christian legacy.

TRAVELING ART EXHIBTIONS
Our museum curatorial staff embarks on expanding our art education and teaching through traveling art exhibits in our Nation’s Capitol and different US cities. Our traveling exhibits this year are “Michelangelo, Van Dyck, Caravaggio and today’s New Artist Contemporaries exhibit,” The International Russian Icons and Medals of Service; Our Lady of Fatima” and “The 3rd Annual International Holiday and Christmas exhibit in Washington, DC”. Our exhibitions and education programs need your support to bring you these wonderful shows to the international public.
WEBSITE, NEWSLETTER AND PUBICATIONS
Our website is currently expanding to advertising, videos and educational on line exhibitions. Our goal is to grow and develop or international audience on our website. We look for donations to support our graphic artist program and marketing.
PURCHASING ART FOR OUR MUSEUM
Our curators have researched and selected a variety of artworks, we would like to purchase for our museum. A few of the pieces are the beautiful “Bruges Madonna” a bronze by Michelangelo and The Lost Caravaggio. Our goal is to raise $10 million dollars in 5 years for an art endowment. If you are interested in naming opportunities or helping us please contact us for further information.
DONATIONING ARTWORKS
If you are already are an art collector, have a painting or historical document that you would like to donate to us. We would be happy to give you an appraisal and tax deduction.
DONATION OF BOOKS
We have a small library of art books, maps, Catholic books, children books, old bibles, saint biographies, Catholic Encyclopedia’s and Christian history books. Please donate books to us to help our library.
ARTIST SUPPORT PROGRAM
Our museum employs artists to create paintings and works of art from time to time. Our artists need to make a living to create. Just as patrons of the arts, wealthy business owners, Bishops and Cardinals in the past hired artists to decorate churches and shrines, we ask new qualified artists to help us enrich our museum of new spiritual works of contemporary art.
EDUCATION PROGRAMS
Help us by sponsoring a lecture, seminar, or a music concert. See our under education our slideshow of our happy student visits. We hire art teachers and artist to spend 2-hour lectures and art classes around special art exhibits. Where budget are cut in our schools for art and music programs, her in our education programs we continue to educate in the arts. Education programs can be from $100 to $1000 to support a program.
FUNDRAISING AND GENERAL SUPPORT
We have a permanent and a part time staff; we also use consultants from time to time. We employ art curators, and art handlers. We have to endure framing costs, art insurances, and development research and exhibitions projects. Museums have to market, design printing, brochures; preserve art works and conservation on the collection; and fulfill basic general operations, accounting and legal procedures. Extra cost for electric for lighting and control heating environments and art shipments can be also high. We hold fundraising events from wine and cheese, cocktail receptions and hire party planners do dinner galas.
